What is Global Warming?

Carbon dioxide levels in the Earth's atmosphere have maintained a fairly steady pace, up until the 1800s. The burning of oil and fossil fuels outputs carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. In previous centuries, the earth could adapt or adjust to a fluctuation in atmospheric gases, but with the coming of the Industrial Revolution, the planet's natural balance could not adjust to accommodate such a large increase of CO2 in such a short amount of time. Now, the growing CO2 concentration is catching up with us and the sooner we act, the better. We have the capability to correct earth's unnaturally strayed course back to a balanced, clean environment. But if we don't act now, we may lose the ability to change anything.
